He has done it again!!!
As off June 13th, 2012 Bentley suffered another fracture along the femoral head growth plate on the left side now. We where warned by his Vet that these fractures are almost 90% bilateral. He played with his little kitten friend outside and all of a sudden while chasing Hannah around a corner, we saw his leg bend in an odd angle. He stopped dead in his tracks and he held his leg up in agony. He could barley walk afterwards. We took him straight to his Vet and our suspicion was confirmed... he needs another FHO surgery this time on his left leg. Bentley is scheduled to undergo surgery Monday June 18th, 2012.
We are devastated for him, that he has to go through this ordeal again but least we are prepared and know what to expect this time around.
Barbara I am sorry to hear Bentley had to have another surgery and hope he is starting to feel better by now. I just found out today my cat has to have the surgery tomorrow. I also live in los angeles. His sister already misses him and I feel terrible that I will have to keep them separated in addition to the pain he will have. They are both young and love to play and chase each other all over the house. Best wishes to the three of you!

DeleteBentley is doing great so far. His sutures will be removed this coming Tuesday 7/3/2012 and then he will have no further restrictions either.
Bentley had his second surgery with a different surgeon at a different Veterinary Hospital and he did so much better this time around. He had none of the previous post op problems.
Don't worry, you're Baby will be fine!!!
